Who We Are
The Fuse Youth ministers to students in grades 6-12 (ages 12+). We get together in a large group setting on Sunday nights and in a small group setting on Wednesday nights. Additionally, we do service projects and different events throughout the year.
What We Believe
Our desire in Student Ministries is helping students develop a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ through relevant teaching, worship, and opportunities to lead and serve. We believe that strong relationships are keys to experiencing Christ in a real and impacting way. Our teaching focuses on pertinent student issues and examines the Bible’s application to everyday decisions. We believe that a self confident student is more able to make the correct choices that lead to success in all aspects of their lives.
Purpose Statement
CONFIDENCE does not happen by coincidence.
The Fuse Youth exists to help BUILD confidence through TEACHING the students to KNOW who they are and what Christ is DOING in their lives and teaching them to SHARE that with others they ENCOUNTER.

Staying Informed
Social media has become a valuable way of communicating current information. In order to stay updated on the latest Student Ministries news, there are two options for you.
The first option is this Website
You’ve already found this website, which will provide up-to-date information on times and dates of major events. You can also check the church-wide calendar on Lake Shore's Church website, which includes Student Ministry events.
The second is Facebook. We will use our Facebook group to update people on events and general information. If an update is posted on the website, it will also be posted on Facebook. We feel using Facebook is important because so many students utilize it as a communication tool and we want to be relevant and reaching into their world.

For the Parents
If you are looking to get your student involved with Student Ministries in any of our programs, feel free to contact us; we love the heads up on new students and we love to meet parents. If your student is reluctant (don’t worry, that’s normal), encourage your student to bring a friend along. Everyone is welcome to attend anything we do! Also, we want to encourage your student to try all of our programs. Each offers something a little different, and may reach different students in different ways.
Additionally, the Student Ministries Team wants to be available to you for your questions and comments. We know that Student Ministry is not just about students, but about serving families as well. If there is any way that we can serve you as a parent, a peer, or a friend, please let us know.

What About the Rest of My Family?
There are many opportunities for families to get connected at Lake Shore. Students in grades 6-12 are welcome in The Fuse. Parents have opportunities to get connected too! Go to our church-wide calendar if you ever want to know what’s going on in the church on any particular day. There are also serving opportunities. If you love kids and want to plug in, we want to know about it!
I'm New...What Do I Do?
There is no pre-registration necessary for new students for our weekly gatherings Students who come for the first time will be registered on the spot when they show up. All events are open to all students, whether or not the student or the student’s family attends this church. In fact, new students are highly encouraged to bring a friend along with them to check out any of our programs. It’s great to experience new things with old friends!
